the time to meet the staff
Who
will be involved in your audit? Take the
time to meet or conference with all the key
personel and prepare questions in advance to give
you a good feel for their level of
competence.
Experience
If
you haven't noticed, telecom audit is a pretty
crowded space. The very first method to
drill down to the contenders is experience.

How long has the company been in existence?

Get resumes of the key executives.
Track
Record
What
have they done and who have they done it
for? Look for verifiable success stories and
make sure they are recent. Ask to see the
detailed reports that support the claims.
Allow them to black out the account numbers, but
make them show you the work behind that success
story.
Professional
Process
Will
your potential vendor show you their audit process
in detail? Do they have an operations handbook
that controls both the process and communication
with the client? If you're candidate hems
and haws over this, go to the next candidtate.
